Table Management and Split Bill Tips for Busy Restaurants
On a busy night the floor is only as fast as its slowest handover. Clear table status and flexible bills keep guests happy and tables turning.
Make table status visible
Everyone should see at a glance which tables are free, running or waiting to pay. A shared floor view means a host can seat the next group without asking around.
Move and merge easily
Guests change their minds - they move to a bigger table, or two groups join. The system should let you move an order or merge tables without re-entering items.
Split bills the way guests want
Some groups split equally, some by item, some pay by different modes. Support all three so the cashier never has to calculate on paper.
Print the bill at the right moment
Let the cashier print the bill when guests ask for it, and let waiters focus on service. Restricting who can print also protects against misuse.
Turn tables faster
Quick payment is part of table turnover. Accepting UPI, card and cash on one screen avoids the wait for change or a second machine.
